To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
Important info regarding the new ballot:
The new balloting system requires you to enter something in every
field. The place this might cause the most confusion for previous
ballot users is when a technical element is not included in the
program. You will need to type “Not Listed” into the box for the
designer’s name and then either select a score or select “N/P – Not
Present” if the element was not included. And remember, if you see it
on stage, you should always score it, even if it is not listed in the
program.
I also wanted to clear up some potential confusion about notifications
for the new ballot. You should receive an automated confirmation when
your ballot is submitted. This confirmation also goes to Margaret and
to me. She will likely send another confirmation to you and your rep
(and me) so we all know the ballot reached her. So, if you get multiple
confirmations for the same show, this is why.
TIP OF THE WEEK: As you are filling out your
ballot, please be aware of what we like to call “the halo effect” – even
in the best productions, it is extremely rare that everything in
that production is of the same quality and deserves the same score.
Please try to be discriminating in your scoring and give each category a
score that it truly deserves based on its quality and its criteria, and
not just whether you enjoyed the production overall.

Directions to performance space(s): From Baltimore: Get on the Washington beltway (495), and take Exit # 7, Maryland Route 5 South towards Waldorf. Continue South on Route 5 for about twenty miles. Route 5 will merge with Route 301 and in Waldorf, Route 5 will split off to the left towards Leonardtown. Keep going straight on Route 301 towards La Plata. Before leaving La Plata, you will reach a stop light (Maryland Route 6), turn left. PTP is about half a mile down Route 6 (Charles Street) on your left, just past the railroad tracks. It is a very tall conspicuous building in its surroundings and you should find it easily. Do not park in the urgent care center parking lot; if you do, your car will be towed.
From Virginia: Once across the Wilson Bridge take Exit # 3A, Route 210 South towards Indian Head. Travel South on Route 210 for about 10 miles and take a left on Route 228, Berry Road, going towards Waldorf. Continue on 228 for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection of Route 301. Turn right (headed South again) on Route 301 for about 10 miles until you reach Maryland Route 6 in La Plata. Turn left on Route 6 (Charles Street) and PTP will be about a half mile on the left, just after the railroad tracks. From the East: Take Viers Mill Road, enter Rockville, pass Twinbrook Shopping Center and go to traffic light at Edmonston Drive. Turn right. (Watch for small green Civic Center sign at the right turn.) Take Edmonston until you reach the Civic Center area.
From Olney and Leisure World: Georgia Avenue to Norbeck Road. Turn onto Norbeck towards Rockville. Pass Gude Drive and turn at next light (shopping center on the left) onto Baltimore Road. Civic Center is approximately four blocks on the left.

Directions to performance space(s): From Virginia - Take 66 East to exit 71 (Fairfax Drive) towards Glebe Road. Turn right onto Glebe Road South (Virginia 120). Go 1.34 miles, crossing over Route 50. Turn left onto Second Street, then turn left onto South Old Glebe Road.
From Washington, DC, take Route 50 West (Arlington Blvd.) to Glebe Road heading South. Turn left onto Second Street, then turn left onto South Old Glebe Road.
A parking garage is located at the far end of Alice West Fleet Elementary School (115 S Old Glebe Rd) on the right. Please note there are two sharp turns, back-to-back, to enter the garage. You can park anywhere that doesn't note a "RESERVED" sign with the times of 6AM -11PM (the signs with 6AM to 6PM noted are good to park in).
To exit the garage to the theatre, walk towards the big blue wall at the back and go left, you will see the stairs and elevators there. You can take either option up one level, then take the short walk to the theater lobby doors
