WATCH Weekly Report 11-05-25

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-05-25 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

TIP OF THE WEEK: The WATCH Adjudication email is set up so I have to log in to see my email; I do not get notifications of new emails (by choice).  While I try to access this on a regular basis, there are times I might go several days without checking.  In particular, as soon as I am confident that the upcoming weekend’s closing shows are covered, I do not tend to check it over the weekend.  If you have any questions at any time, especially, but not limited to time sensitive ones, your rep should always be the first person you reach out to.  And if it relates to an upcoming show, please reach out to the rep of the producing theater, and include your rep on that email so they can help.  I do not need to be the go between.

As a reminder, if you ever need to contact a rep, the email address would be XYZ@washingtontheater.org, with the “XYZ” replaced by the theater’s WATCH assigned acronym (please note the spelling of theater after the “@” with an “er” NOT “re”).  This will then be forwarded to their personal email address so they can answer you.  This WATCH assigned email address also appears in this report each week, right above the directions to the theater.  You can certainly cc: me on these messages, and probably should in case I need to help in any way.  But again, your rep and possibly the producing theater rep should always be your first contact.

******************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.

From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.

Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
