** WATCH Weekly Report 08-13-25 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
For those who may not have received the update, the ballot is back online and you can resume submitting your ballots.
Speaking of which, we need 2 alternate ballots for “The Best Little
Whorehouse in Texas” at ASGT due to weather cancellations. If you saw
this show and can submit an alternate ballot, please let me know ASAP.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Occasionally
questions come up regarding a specific production that only the
theater’s rep can help answer, including questions about unfilled
reservation requests. In these circumstances, I just reply to the email
adding the rep to answer the question. In the interest of efficiency
(and so I don’t have to play middleman), I wanted to be sure everyone
was aware that it’s perfectly acceptable for you to email the rep
directly. WATCH has an email forwarding system set up so that reps do
not have to disclose their personal email address. So, if you ever need
to contact a rep, the email address would be XYZ@washingtontheater.org,
with the “XYZ” replaced by the theater’s WATCH assigned acronym (please
note the spelling of theater after the “@” with an “er” NOT “re”).
This will then be forwarded to their personal email address so they can
answer you. This WATCH assigned email address also appears in this
report each week, right above the directions to the theater. And if you
have general procedural questions, please email your own rep instead
for answers. You can certainly cc: me on these messages, and probably
should in case I need to help in any way. I just wanted to make sure
everyone is aware of the available resources since, as you can imagine, I
get a lot of emails and also don’t regularly check this email account
on weekends, so it is important that you know how to get an answer in a
more timely and efficient manner.
******************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes. If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
- DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
- DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
- DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
- If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
One handicap accessible parking space is located on St Asaph Street next to LTA’s courtyard.
