** WATCH Weekly Report 10-16-24 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
We again find ourselves in need of an alternate for a show closing this
weekend. Please review below and let me know if you can cover this
show.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Shows at many theaters do
sell out, especially musicals and shows that include/are aimed at
children. This is why it is crucial that you make your reservation as
early as possible, and definitely before the show is closing, especially
for these types of shows. If you wait to reserve, box offices workers
are left scrambling to try to fit you in, which is not fair to them.
Plus. they are not required to do so, and if they simply cannot find you
a ticket, I will be left scrambling trying to find someone who already
saw the show to fill out a ballot. So please make everyone’s life
easier (including your own) and just reserve as soon as humanly
possible.
******************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes. If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
- DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
- DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
- DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
- If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.

Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
