WATCH Weekly Report 02-09-22

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 02-09-22 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

When filling out the cast in your ballot, please remember that you need to use the cast list in the program as your guide.  Make sure you are listing the roles/actors in the same order as the cast list, NOT the bios.  Also, whether you give actors one score or multiple scores is entirely driven by how they are listed as follows:

  • If the actor is listed once for multiple roles, you will list them once with a single score that is an amalgamation of all the roles they played
  • If the actor is listed multiple times with individual roles, you will list them separately for each role, with a separate score for each role

We are still in need of an alternate for “MacBeth” at Port Tobacco Players, closing this weekend.  If you are able to see this show, please let me know.

We also need a ballot for “Shoah” at Fauquier Community Theatre, which closed last weekend.  If you saw this show and can fill out an alternate ballot, please let me know.

*****************************************
NOTE:  Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:
  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.
  5. DO check each theater’s COVID policies before attending any show, even if you think you already know what they are, and make sure you are comfortable attending

Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
