** WATCH
Weekly Report 05-08-19 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
TIP
OF THE WEEK: There is a reason most actors do not like to work with
animals – they are adorable and steal focus.
As a judge, feel free to applaud and “awwww” as much as you’d like, but
you should never include animals on your ballot, even if they are
included in the cast list in the playbill.
(Just think of the complex actors would get if they were beat out by an
animal.)
(The above probably looks familiar. It is a repeat tip from February, but
Margaret is seeing some scores for animals lately, so we thought a refresher
was necessary.)
Also, we are in need of an alternate ballot for “A New
Brain” at Colonial Players of Annapolis.
If you saw this show and can submit a ballot, please let me know.
Please note:
Margaret will be on vacation from today until May 16th with no
access to email. This means you will not
receive a confirmation of any ballots received during this time. But please keep sending in your ballots. And if you want, you can send me an email to
let me know you have submitted your ballot.
Otherwise you will continue to see your name listed as owing a ballot
until she returns.
*****************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the
show closes. If you owe us a ballot,
please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
1.
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include
the entire thing, clogging my inbox.
Please send a new email to adjudication@washingtontheater.org
2.
DO email me your reservation
dates. Really, I want to know!
3.
DO search this entire report for
your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
4.
If you go see a show that you were
not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you
see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with
all ballots received. Similarly, if you
see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show,
please let me know.
