** WATCH Weekly Report 03-22-17**
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH
Board, Judges, and Alternates:
We are starting to
run into shows that were listed as “TBD” on the schedule that was sent at the
beginning of the year. This causes a lot
of confusion, as judges often think they are assigned to a show at a theater
based upon the vague dates they were given.
Technically judges are actually assigned by show number at a particular
theater, not by date. So, for example,
if you are assigned to the second show at a particular theater, this is the
show you will see even if the dates change.
Therefore, we ask that you use the schedule you receive at the beginning
of the year only as a guideline and base
your reservations solely on this report. So even if you think you are assigned to a
particular show, if you do not see your name listed on this report, you should
not make a reservation to see it. I know
this can be very confusing, but if there is ever a question about whether you
are supposed to see a specific show, you can just drop me a note and ask. I have a master list of every judge assigned
to every show, and I can tell you pretty easily if you need to see it. Thank you.
*****************************************
NOTE: Balloting
for a show closes 30 days after the show closes. If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as
soon as possible.
Friendly
Reminders:
1.
DO
NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long,
and the reply will include the entire thing, clogging my inbox. Please send a new email to adjudication@washingtontheater.org
2.
DO
email me your reservation dates. Really,
I want to know!
3.
If
you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case
we need an alternate. Try to keep the
playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you
see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an
alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.
