WATCH Weekly Report 11-27-24

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-27-24 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

The final show for 2024 now appears on this report.  So if your name does not show up anywhere in this report, it means that you are officially done for the year.

If you name IS on this report, please make sure you make a reservation and get your ballots in ASAP.  Shows at this time of year tend to be very popular, so don’t assume they will have a ticket for you if you wait too long to reserve.

And remember, the final date for accepting ballots will be December 24th

TIP OF THE WEEK:  When you submit your ballot, it goes directly to Margaret.  I never see the ballot and the only way I know that it has been submitted is when I receive the ballot confirmation that is also sent to you and your theater’s rep.  If you see your name on the report and have received a ballot confirmation, it means the email to me got lost in the ether somewhere, so please forward the confirmation to me and I will mark you as having submitted your ballot.  If you submitted but did not receive a confirmation within a couple of days, it likely means that the ballot was not received.  Let me know and I can check with Margaret.  And always keep a copy of your scores because if she did not receive it, you will need to submit the whole thing it again.

******************************************
NOTE:  Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

WATCH Weekly Report 11-20-24

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-20-24 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

Please note: There is a show appearing in this report that opens in 2 weeks, but because of space restrictions, only runs for 1 weekend (with 6 performances, so they meet eligibility for adjudication).  Please take a look to see if you are assigned to this show and make a reservation ASAP.  Or if you cannot attend, contact your rep ASAP so they can try to find an alternate for you.  Making sure this show gets 10 ballots is going to be a challenge, so I am requesting your help in making sure it is covered even before the show opens.

Also note: Due to the need to tabulate the data, we need to close balloting for end of year shows before 30 days are up.  The final date for accepting ballots for shows closing in late November/December will be December 24thSo if you have a show that ends in December, please try to see it as early in the ruin as possible so you have time to fill out the ballot.

TIP OF THE WEEK:  Was there live music and/or dancing in the show?  If so, please include a score for Music Direction and Choreography (respectively), even if it is a play and/or the theater neglected to list them in the program.  If they are not listed but were present, simply click the “Not Listed” box and leave the name blank, but do include a score.

To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

TIP OF THE WEEK:  Please make sure you enter your email address on the ballot and double check that it is entered correctly.  This is what Margaret uses to send you the confirmation of ballot receipt, and thus prevents a lot of bouncebacks, and ensures you know that your ballot has been received.

Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
