** WATCH Weekly Report 08-28-24 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
TIP OF THE WEEK: Occasionally questions come up
regarding a specific production that only the theater’s rep can help
answer. In these circumstances, I just reply to the email adding the
rep to answer the question. In the interest of efficiency (and so I
don’t have to play middleman), I wanted to be sure everyone was aware
that it’s perfectly acceptable for you to email the rep directly. WATCH
has an email forwarding system set up so that reps do not have to
disclose their personal email address. So if you ever need to contact a
rep, the email address would be XYZ@washingtontheater.org, with the
“XYZ” replaced by the theater’s WATCH assigned acronym (please note the
spelling of theater after the “@” with an “er” NOT “re”). This will
then be forwarded to their personal email address so they can answer
you. This WATCH assigned email address also appears in this report each
week, right above the directions to the theater. And if you have
general procedural questions, please email your own rep instead for
answers. You can certainly cc: me on these messages, and probably
should in case I need to help in any way. I just wanted to make sure
everyone is aware of the available resources since, as you can imagine, I
get a lot of emails and also don’t usually check it on weekends, so it
is important that you know how to get an answer in a more timely and
efficient manner.
******************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes. If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
- DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
- DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
- DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
- If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.

Once in the garage, drive toward the back and to the left. You will see a big blue wall where the stairs and elevators are located. You can take either option.
Helpful tips:
- There is a difficult to see median as you pull into the top of the garage. If you hit this, you may harm your car. Please be aware of the median and enter the garage as slowly as possible!
- Please note that the reserved signs are reserved 24/7, please do not park there.
- Please note that The Arlington Players does not control the garage and we have been warned that the garage will lock when we are to be out of the building (11PM for evening shows). If you do not get to your car by the appointed time and the doors lock, we will not be able to get you into the garage.
