To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
Please note:
There is a show appearing in this report that opens in 2 weeks, but
because of space restrictions, only runs for 1 weekend (with 6
performances, so they meet eligibility for adjudication). Please take a
look to see if you are assigned to this show and make a reservation ASAP. Or if you cannot attend, contact your rep ASAP
so they can try to find an alternate for you. Making sure this show
gets 10 ballots is going to be a challenge, so I am requesting your help
in making sure it is covered even before the show opens.
Also note: Due to the need to tabulate the data, we need to close balloting for end of year shows before 30 days are up. The final date for accepting ballots for shows closing in late November/December will be December 24th. So
if you have a show that ends in December, please try to see it as early
in the ruin as possible so you have time to fill out the ballot.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Was there live music
and/or dancing in the show? If so, please include a score for Music
Direction and Choreography (respectively), even if it is a play
and/or the theater neglected to list them in the program. If they are
not listed but were present, simply click the “Not Listed” box and leave
the name blank, but do include a score.

Directions to performance space(s): From the Capital Beltway –
proceed East on Route 50. Exit North on Route 3. Turn Left on Sylvan
Drive at the sign for the White Marsh Recreation Area, and Left on Route
3 South; or alternatively, pass Sylvan Lane and make a U-Turn at the
traffic light at Route 450 and proceed South on Route 3. Note: The turn
on Sylvan Drive can be difficult if there is heavy south-bound traffic,
so you are better off continuing past Sylvan Drive to the light at Route
450, where you can make a U-turn, then proceed south. Make a right turn
into White Marsh Recreation Area. Proceed past the ball fields to the
parking lot on the left at the end of the driveway. Follow the signs to
the Bowie Playhouse.

Judges are highly encouraged to call early when attending a Musical or
our Holiday show because these productions regularly sell out. Sunday
matinee performances also sell out very quickly for plays and musicals

Directions to performance space(s): From Baltimore: Get on the
Washington beltway (495), and take Exit # 7, Maryland Route 5 South
towards Waldorf. Continue South on Route 5 for about twenty miles. Route
5 will merge with Route 301 and in Waldorf, Route 5 will split off to
the left towards Leonardtown. Keep going straight on Route 301 towards
La Plata. Before leaving La Plata, you will reach a stop light (Maryland
Route 6), turn left. PTP is about half a mile down Route 6 (Charles
Street) on your left, just past the railroad tracks. It is a very tall
conspicuous building in its surroundings and you should find it easily.
Do not park in the urgent care center parking lot; if you do, your car
will be towed.
From Virginia: Once across the Wilson Bridge take Exit # 3A, Route 210
South towards Indian Head. Travel South on Route 210 for about 10 miles
and take a left on Route 228, Berry Road, going towards Waldorf.
Continue on 228 for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection of
Route 301. Turn right (headed South again) on Route 301 for about 10
miles until you reach Maryland Route 6 in La Plata. Turn left on Route 6
(Charles Street) and PTP will be about a half mile on the left, just
after the railroad tracks. It is a very tall conspicuous building in its
surroundings and you should find it easily. Do not park in the urgent
care center parking lot; if you do, your car will be towed.

The Woodmoor Shopping Center will be immediately on the right. There is
limited parking in front of the center. The entrance to the Stage is
at the north end of the shopping center between a drugstore (CVS) and a
bank (currently a Bank of America branch). Look for the Stage's lighted
marquee. The most plentiful parking is available behind the center:
pass the bank and turn right on Timberwood Avenue and then turn right
again into the parking lot.
