To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
We need alternates for a show running now and one that has already closed. Please let me know if you can help out.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Many shows do sell out,
especially musicals and shows with children in the cast, both of which
tend to appear quite frequently at this time of year. So while it is a
good idea to make your reservation for every show very early in the run
(or even better, when your name first appears on the report), it is
especially crucial when it is one of these types of shows, particularly
when it is a well-known show to boot. I have had to reach out to a
number of judges after hearing from reps that they are in danger of
being shut out of tickets. Please don’t let this happen – reserve early.
Also, the earlier in the run you reserve for, the more likely there are
to be tickets available and the more likely it is that the theater will
be able to reschedule you if any issue arises with the production or in
your personal life.

Directions to performance space(s): From Baltimore: Get on the Washington beltway (495), and take Exit # 7, Maryland Route 5 South towards Waldorf. Continue South on Route 5 for about twenty miles. Route 5 will merge with Route 301 and in Waldorf, Route 5 will split off to the left towards Leonardtown. Keep going straight on Route 301 towards La Plata. Before leaving La Plata, you will reach a stop light (Maryland Route 6), turn left. PTP is about half a mile down Route 6 (Charles Street) on your left, just past the railroad tracks. It is a very tall conspicuous building in its surroundings and you should find it easily. Do not park in the urgent care center parking lot; if you do, your car will be towed.
From Virginia: Once across the Wilson Bridge take Exit # 3A, Route 210 South towards Indian Head. Travel South on Route 210 for about 10 miles and take a left on Route 228, Berry Road, going towards Waldorf. Continue on 228 for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection of Route 301. Turn right (headed South again) on Route 301 for about 10 miles until you reach Maryland Route 6 in La Plata. Turn left on Route 6 (Charles Street) and PTP will be about a half mile on the left, just after the railroad tracks. Directions to performance space(s): From the GW Parkway South: the Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right-hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway: take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
One handicap accessible parking space is located on St Asaph Street next to LTA’s courtyard.
