WATCH Weekly Report 11-29-23

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-29-23 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

While it is always recommended to make your reservations early, as I have said before, it is especially important that you do so for musicals and shows involving children (to account for the many generations of the child actor’s extended family attending the show).  Holiday shows are also big sellers, and we have a few shows on here that hit the trifecta.  And in fact, I have been informed that at least one of these shows has sold out most performances (see report for more details).  So, if you are assigned to any of the remaining shows on this report, please go make your reservation now and then let me know you have.

And reps, please remember to let me know if your theater’s shows are selling out.  I usually hear about this from judges when it is already too late to get ahead of the situation.

Finally, an important reminder that all ballots, including those for shows not closing until late December, must be submitted no later than Wednesday, December 20th

******************************************
NOTE:  Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.
  5. DO check each theater’s COVID policies before attending any show, even if you think you already know what they are, and make sure you are comfortable attending.

WATCH Weekly Report 11-22-23

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-22-23 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

The final shows being adjudicated in 2023 are now on the report (i.e. in the “Opening in Two Weeks” section).  If you do not see your name listed for any upcoming shows or in the missing ballots section, you are officially done for the year.  Congrats and thank you for your service.  There have been several planned shows that have been cancelled or are not eligible for adjudication, so even if you had another show listed in your original schedule, if your name is not anywhere below, you are done.

If you do still see your name below, please make your reservation and/or send in your ballots as soon as possible.

Please note (Extremely Important): the deadline for end of year ballots is different than normal.  Margaret needs time to tabulate the results before the tabulation committee meets at the end of the year.  Therefore, the absolutely last date to turn in a ballot for this year will be Wednesday, December 20th.  So, if you are assigned to a show that runs later into December, it is a very good idea to see it as early as possible in its run, and you will need to turn in your ballot right after seeing the show.
