** WATCH Weekly Report 08-20-25 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
Last call for anyone who saw “The Best Little Whorehouse in
Texas” at ASGT before it closed who can fill out an alternate ballot.
I need to close this show, but wanted to make one more plea before I
do. If we have to close it with only 8 ballots, the show will still be
in consideration for awards. But the more ballots we receive, the more
stable and accurate the scoring is.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Not so much a tip as an
explanation. Some judges have asked why not all theaters offer free
companion tickets. The reality is that some theaters cannot afford to
offer them. For some, the venue is too small and they would lose
revenue they need to stay afloat. For others, they have to pay the
venue for each comp ticket they give, so they would be out of pocket
twice as much money. There are not many theaters that do not offer
companion tickets, so hopefully you do not have to purchase a ticket or
attend alone for too many shows each season.

NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes. If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
- DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
- DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
- DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
- If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.

Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.

There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
