To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
St. Mark’s Players had to cancel performances of their show last weekend
due to cast illness. They have added another matinee this Saturday at
2:00pm. If you had reservations last week and have not already changed
your reservation (and let me know that you did), please do so.
And we have a couple of judges who could not reschedule for this weekend
and we are therefore looking for a couple of alternates. If you can
help out, please let me know ASAP.
Finally, balloting has started to close for our early shows of 2023.
All ballots must be received 30 days from closing. Please take a look
at the closed show section of this report, and if you your name appears
there, submit your ballot right away. And if you are the rep for a
judge who still owes a ballot for a show with a window closing soon,
please reach out to them and ask them to submit.

The theater is about 6 blocks away. From the Calvert Street Garage, walk up St. John’s Street and cross College Avenue. Proceed on North St. to State Circle. Turn left on State Circle and walk two blocks to East Street. Turn left and the theater will be on your left a half block ahead.
Directions directly to the theater: Stay in the left lane when crossing the College Creek bridge, proceed straight at the light to College Ave. Turn left on to College Ave. Proceed one block and turn right on to North St. Turn right at State Circle and drive approximately halfway around the Circle to East Street. Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
One handicap accessible parking space is located on St Asaph Street next to LTA’s courtyard.

Travel South on Route 210 for about 10 miles and take a left on Route 228, Berry Road, going towards Waldorf. Continue on 228 for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection of Route 301. Turn right (headed South again) on Route 301 for about 10 miles until you reach Maryland Route 6 in La Plata. Turn left on Route 6 (Charles Street) and PTP will be about a half mile on the left, just after the railroad tracks.
