WATCH Weekly Report 11-23-22

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 11-23-22 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

Some things I am thankful for:

  1. When judges let me know about their reservations before they see a show
  2. When judges send in their ballot immediately after viewing a show
  3. When reps follow up with their judges regarding outstanding reservations and/or ballots
  4. All of you for donating your precious free time to keep this organization going
Thank you all for everything you do and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

On another subject, the final shows opening this year now appear in this report.  So, if you do not see your name listed anywhere, you are officially done for the year.  But, if your name is still on this report, please make your reservations and/or send in your ballots ASAP.

Also, due to end of year tabulation requirements, the very last day to submit ballots for the shows currently running or opening soon will be Friday, December 23rd (sorry, but we can’t give you the full 30 days).  But we’d also be happy to have them long before then – Margaret wants to enjoy her holidays too.  So try to make your reservations for early in the run of these shows so you are not waiting until the last minute to submit.

*****************************************
NOTE:  Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:
  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.
  5. DO check each theater’s COVID policies before attending any show, even if you think you already know what they are, and make sure you are comfortable attending

Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
One handicap accessible parking space is located on St Asaph Street next to LTA’s courtyard.
