WATCH Weekly Report 03-23-22

 ** WATCH Weekly Report 03-23-22 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:

I have been getting numerous questions about upcoming assignments, particularly about those that were listed as “TBD” in the matrix.  As I like to say, the matrix is just a guideline, whereas this report is the WATCH Bible.  So if a show does not appear in the report that you were assigned to judge or if you don’t see your name listed for a show that you thought you were assigned to, then you do not need to see it.

Theater schedules are always changing, with shows being cancelled or moved to other times in the season, or a theater deciding a particular show is not eligible for adjudication.  The best way to think of your assignments in the matrix is that you are assigned to a slot, not a specific show or dates.  So, for example, let’s say you are assigned to the second show at a theater scheduled to produce four shows.  You would judge the second show that is produced and deemed eligible for adjudication, whenever it occurs and whatever show it is, assuming that the theater is still planning to do four shows this year.  If, on the other hand, their second show is simply cancelled or moved to another slot in the year, and they will only be producing two more shows this season, then you would simply have one less show to adjudicate this year.

I do not send out notices for every schedule change because it would just generate too many emails when I think we already all get more than enough.  Rest assured that I am in contact with the reps from every theater throughout the year and I am tracking all the theater schedules on my end.  So just keep reading this report and making your reservations based on what you see here, and all will be well.

That is all.

NOTE:  Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the show closes.  If you owe us a ballot, please get it in as soon as possible.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.It’s very long, and the reply will include the entire thing. Please send a new email to watchadjudication@gmail.com
  2. DO email me your reservation dates. Really, I want to know!
  3. DO search this entire report for your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
  4. If you go see a show that you were not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with all ballots received. Similarly, if you see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show, please let me know.
  5. DO check each theater’s COVID policies before attending any show, even if you think you already know what they are, and make sure you are comfortable attending
