** WATCH
Weekly Report 06-06-18 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
As we have mentioned many times before, the matrix that is
published at the beginning of the year is meant to be a guideline, and shows
get cancelled or changed throughout the year.
A few theaters have had to cancel upcoming shows recently (see
below). So if you were assigned to any of
these shows in the matrix, you have one less judging assignment this year.
- McLean Community Players show scheduled for July
- Hard Bargain Players show scheduled for August
- Prince George’s Little Theatre show scheduled for August/September
- Prince George’s Little Theatre show scheduled for December
*****************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the
show closes. If you owe us a ballot,
please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
1.
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include
the entire thing, clogging my inbox.
Please send a new email to adjudication@washingtontheater.org
2.
DO email me your reservation
dates. Really, I want to know!
3.
DO search this entire report for
your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
4.
If you go see a show that you were
not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you
see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with
all ballots received. Similarly, if you
see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show,
please let me know.

Directions to performance space(s): From Points North - "How would you
get to Reagan National Airport?" That's the first question to answer. Once
you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue
heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of
Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe
Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner
of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets.
Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some have two hour parking limitations. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open.
There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs.
Handicapped parking is located on St. Asaph Street next to LTA's courtyard.
