** WATCH
Weekly Report 11-08-17 **
------------------------------------------------------------
To the WATCH Board, Judges, and Alternates:
I just learned that one of the shows that is still missing
reservations is sold out for the rest of the run. When this happens, I will try to work with
the rep to see if we can find additional tickets, but that will not always be
possible -- I am sure all theaters want to be accommodating, but ultimately
they are not responsible for making sure judges make their reservation in a
timely manner, nor do they want to inconvenience their paying audience. If they cannot accommodate you, I can try to
find an alternate who has already seen the show, but this is often not
possible, which results in missing ballots for the show. This just reinforces why it is so
important to make your reservations early.
And to let me know that you did.
And WATCH reps, please encourage your theater’s box office
to keep you posted on the status of your shows.
If tickets are selling fast and/or it looks like the show will sell out,
please let me know and I can let the appropriate judges know that they need to
make their reservation ASAP.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program …
*****************************************
NOTE: Balloting for a show closes 30 days after the
show closes. If you owe us a ballot,
please get it in as soon as possible.
Friendly Reminders:
1.
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. It’s very long, and the reply will include
the entire thing, clogging my inbox.
Please send a new email to adjudication@washingtontheater.org
2.
DO email me your reservation
dates. Really, I want to know!
3.
DO search this entire report for
your name, including in the “Closed” section to see if you owe any ballots.
4.
If you go see a show that you were
not assigned to see, please let me know in case we need an alternate. Try to keep the playbills for all shows you
see at WATCH company theaters, at least until you see that it has closed with
all ballots received. Similarly, if you
see a note that an alternate is needed and you are available to see that show,
please let me know.
